The Ministry of Internal Affairs joined the large-scale, joint communication campaign aimed at raising the awareness - "Better and Safer Roads for Georgia", implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure with the support of the European Union and the European Investment Bank EIB.
Campaign slogan is: "Don't repeat the mistake". Its purpose is to raise public awareness on the necessity to follow traffic rules and to inform population on the importance of road safety and existing risks.
The issue of the road safety is a priority direction for the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is notable that in 2022, 526 people were injured in traffic accidents due to speeding, while 57 people died as a result of the same violation.
